The Art of  Peter Preier

For hours, the artist sits, armed with several tools, drawing line by line in order to finish a piece of his work. To get the most detailed likeness of the original piece, there are not only many hours of drawing involved, but also a very steady hand is needed, since each line has to be perfect the first time.

At the end the play of light and shadow will bring the object to life. The time needed (shooting photographs and scetching) in order to finish a drawing could take about 6 - 50 working hours depending on the motive.

The scenes shown on display are only a small portion of my art work.
